Communities are now Available on WhatsApp

Earlier this year, we announced a big change to WhatsApp groups called Communities. This change will allow people to interact in a new way. We are happy to announce that WhatsApp communities are now available worldwide. Groups like neighborhoods, school parents, and workplaces can now chat on WhatsApp by connecting multiple groups. You can click on the communities option at the top of the conversations in Android to begin. Moreover, if you are using iOS, navigate to the bottom of the chats to begin. You can also create a new Community or join existing communities.

Users can move between several groups in a community to gather their desired information. A community admin can also communicate with everybody about the latest updates or other information. 

With Communities, we aim to set a new standard for how organizations communicate, providing unprecedented privacy and security.

New Features for Communities:

Today, we are introducing three new features for users. These include in-chat polls, 32-person video calls, and groups holding up to 1024 people. Any group can use these features. They also include emoji reactions, improved file sharing, and admin deletion, which will be especially helpful for Communities. We work in 15 countries with more than 50 organizations to create communities. We are glad that the new tools are assisting groups in organizing and reaching their goals.
